Business VoIP Experiencing Continued Growth
According to new research published by AMI-Partners, VoIP is forecast to experience continued growth within the telephony market in 2011. The study states that over 30% of small businesses (1-99 employees) and 50% of medium businesses (100-999 employees) say that IP-based telephony systems will become increasingly important for their business operations in the coming year.
VoIP has been on the rise for a number of years now since its breakthrough into the business telephony market, and with more and more companies understanding the benefits of VoIP, that trend is set to continue into the New Year.
Karen Nielsen, a senior consultant at AMI-Partners, explained that “moving into 2011, cost savings, as well as the advanced features available with IP, will impel more and more SMBs (small-to-medium businesses) to IP architecture implementation”.
The research by AMI relates to US telecoms, but VoIP within the UK is becoming increasing popular too. The cost-saving ability that IP telephony offers in comparison to traditional systems is tempting more and more business owners to make the switch.
